Arabian Library, Scottsdale, AZ

A library is a network of information and circulation in the metaphorical sense as a network of fibers form the circulatory and survival system for a prickly pear cactus. Greatly enlarging the fiber mesh "pad" to symbolize this network, the artwork uses cut steel panels on the surface of the building, a stainless steel sculpture and glass to create an artwork that symbolizes and creates connections between plant systems and information systems.

Varied dimensions, max height of 20 ft.

Cut steel, stainless steel, glass with silkscreened interlayer
